The Professional Installation & Site Survey Checklist

Use this checklist before install day to avoid delays, failed-install callouts, and avoidable warranty issues. Download the PDF, work through it in your own time, and use the example below as a practical reference while you complete your site setup.

Download It First, Then Follow the Example Below

If any item is unclear, contact us before your installation date and we will help you sense-check it. It is much easier to fix setup issues before the engineer arrives than on the day.

Complete this checklist before your installation date. If you answer "No" or "Unsure" to any item, your installation may be delayed or your equipment warranty could be at risk. Contact us immediately so we can help resolve any issues in advance.
01 Electrical Requirements
Verify Machine Amperage — Standard 13A plug, or 20A/32A Single-Phase 'Commando' socket?
Check 3-Phase Needs — If 3-Phase, is the specialised rotary isolator switch installed?
Socket Proximity — All sockets within 1 metre of the machine's final footprint?
Emergency Access — Sockets accessible (not hidden behind a fridge or heavy counter) for emergency shutdown?
Safety — Is the circuit RCD protected?
02 Plumbing & Drainage
Cold Water Feed — Dedicated 15mm cold water line ending in a ¾" BSP Male Stopcock (washing machine style valve)?
Water Pressure — Mains pressure constant between 2 bar and 5 bar?
Waste Pipe — The Gravity Rule — 40mm trapped standpipe installed lower than the machine base?
Water cannot flow uphill to a drain — the drain must be at a lower point than the machine.
Distance — Plumbing within 1 metre of the machine?
03 Countertop & Structural
The Access Hole — 60mm diameter hole pre-drilled in counter for hoses, waste pipes, and power cables?
Weight Capacity — Counter able to support up to 100kg (the "wet weight" of a full machine)?
Clearance — At least 100mm of air space behind the machine for ventilation?
Grinder Space — Additional 300mm of width available next to the machine for the grinder and knock-box?
04 Water Chemistry — North Wales
TDS Test — Have you tested your water's Total Dissolved Solids?
Filtration Unit — If TDS is above 100ppm, is there space under the counter (approx. 500mm height) for a CTU filter?
Scale damage from North Wales water is a leading cause of voided warranties.
All Boxes Ticked?

If you answered "No" or "Unsure" to any of the above, your installation may be delayed or your equipment warranty could be at risk. Contact Wrexham Bean Co. before your installation date to resolve any outstanding items.
