🌿 Why Choose Decaf?

Decaf coffee isn’t just for those avoiding caffeine — it’s for anyone who still wants that full-bodied flavour without the jitters or sleep disruption.

🍫 How to Make a Decaf Mocha at Home

Ingredients:

  • 1 shot of decaffeinated espresso (or ½ cup of strong brewed decaf)
  • 2 tablespoons of high-quality cocoa powder or chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup of milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Optional: Whipped cream, chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa to finish

Equipment:

Espresso machine or cafetière

Small saucepan

Whisk or milk frother

Your favourite mug

Method:

Brew the decaf: Prepare your shot of espresso or brew a strong cup using your preferred method.

Mix the chocolate: In a small pan, gently warm your cocoa powder and sugar with a splash of coffee to form a smooth paste.

Warm the milk: Heat the milk in a separate pan until steaming, but don’t let it boil.

Combine: Pour the brewed coffee into your mug. Stir in the chocolate mixture until well blended.

Froth and pour: Froth the warm milk (using a whisk or frother), then pour it gently into the mug.

Finish: Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chocolate or cocoa powder if you’re feeling fancy.

👩🍳 Tips to Personalise Your Mocha

Go darker: Use dark chocolate for a richer taste.

Dairy-free? Try oat milk for a creamy alternative.

Sweet tooth: Adjust the sugar or try honey or maple syrup.
