Grown on the Wanale Ridge of Mount Elgon, Eastern Uganda, this fully washed lot comes from a small community of farmers working with our partners at Zukuka Bora Coffee. Every bag you buy helps fund vital projects in the region - from clean water schemes and healthcare to education and farming support.

Zukuka Bora and their partner NGO, JENGA, have been rooted in the Mt Elgon community for nearly 20 years. Their work goes beyond coffee, creating opportunities that strengthen families and transform daily life. When you brew this coffee, you’re part of that story

Washed Coffee Process

Washed process - also called wet process, is all about precision.

The coffee cherries are pulped and rinsed clean before drying, leaving the beans to shine without the heavy influence of the fruit. The result? A clean, crisp cup with bright clarity and a focus on origin character. Want to know why washed coffees taste so vibrant?

Perfect way to make Ugandan Coffee

Mount Elgon is a standout for pour-over — use a slightly coarser grind and water just off the boil (92–94°C) to bring out its bright orange sweetness. It also holds its own in a French press or batch brew, with a full body and a clean, balanced finish.
